Everything added, improved or fixed in each release, newest first. Your version number is shown at the bottom of every page in Elevita.
Downloading a revised original check request now includes all of the application's documents, including supporting documents added later through Edit Application. They were left out of the PDF.
Finalizing a revised original check request now moves the application to Check Request Submitted. The application and the Dashboard kept showing Awaiting Signatures after both signatures. Applications already affected have been corrected.
Finalizing an On-demand or Scheduled check request that pays the rest of the award, such as one that replaces a cancelled item check request, now moves the application to Check Request Submitted. The application stayed at Awaiting Signatures even though the award was fully paid. Applications already affected have been corrected.
Signing a check request in Manage Check Requests now clears the earlier "Check request awaiting your signature" or "awaiting your sign-off" notice from the Dashboard Inbox. It stayed there after both signatures, and a revised original also stayed in the supervisor's sign-off list. Notices already answered have been cleared. Opening one of these notices for an application paid through item check requests, or whose original check request was revised, now goes to the review's Check Requests tab instead of the application's unused original check request page.
A check request the supervisor has signed now shows Signed - Ready to Finalize instead of Pending Supervisor Sign-Off, so it's clear that the next step is Finalize Check Request, not another signature. The application shows the same in the Flex Funds list and on the review screen once every signature is on it, instead of Awaiting Signatures. The status filter has a matching Signed - Ready to Finalize choice, and Awaiting Signatures now lists only applications that still need a signature.
The review screen is organized into tabs: Application, Request Items, Manage Records, Check Requests and Notes.
Each request item can be marked Approve, Deny, Pending Review or Needs Information.
On the Check Requests tab, select Create Check Request next to an approved item, or check several items and create one check request for the batch.
When a supervisor signs off on a check request, the preparer gets a notification in the bell and the Dashboard Inbox saying it is ready to finalize. Selecting it opens that check request.
When a download covers more than one payee, each payee gets their own page. Items paid to the same payee share one page, with a total for the single check (or card charge) that covers them.
Needs Information opens a pre-filled email to the submitter in your own email program. Elevita does not send it for you.
Any answer on the submitted application can be corrected during review, including totals over $1,000. Every change is recorded, with the old value, the new value, who changed it and when, under "Change history" on the Application tab.
Each request item shows its payment recipient and address (the agency's own address when the agency is reimbursed), payment method, network-provider and W-9 status, and links to its supporting documents.
When the person or entity receiving a check is a Region 5 Systems Network Provider, the application asks for their Region 5 contract number. The number is saved on the payee's record, where it can also be entered or changed on the Manage Records tab, and fills in the contract number on the check request. Later applications paying that payee fill it in too. When a check request pays several payees, each payee's page shows only that payee's contract number.
The manual status buttons were removed from the review. The application's status now follows the item decisions.
The review window now fills the browser window, and the other Flex Funds and Grant Applications windows are larger. Any of these windows can be moved by dragging its title bar.
Burden Resolution is shown once for the whole application, totalled across every request item, on the review screen, in Edit Application and on the application PDF, along with the applicant's answer to "Does the total amount needed for the consumer exceed the Flex Funds amount requested?". It was shown under each request item.
The printed application (View Submitted Application) shows every field on the form, with blank answers marked "Not provided", and includes the payee's ZIP code.
The check request's Purpose of Payment now fills in with only the funding source and client ID, not the full request statement.
A request item in the "Other" category is now named by the applicant's description (for example "phone card") in the Reason for Request, instead of just "Other".
When a check request is revised or cancelled, the supervisor's "Check request awaiting your sign-off" item is removed from their Dashboard Inbox. It used to stay there, pointing at a request they could no longer sign.
The consumer, agency (submitter) and vendor/payee records are shown side by side, with the consumer's funding history.
An agency name that exactly matches one existing agency record is linked to it automatically at submission. Close or uncertain matches are still left for staff to confirm.
Request items are entered in three steps:
The payment step asks whether all items go to the same recipient, and an item can reuse a recipient already entered on another item. A vendor's address is required, and check payments ask about network provider and W-9.
Burden Resolution is answered once for the whole application, on the Review step, and starts with a required question: "Does the total amount needed for the consumer exceed the Flex Funds amount requested?"
Requests over $1,000 show a warning that they might not be funded, and can still be submitted. Reviewers can also save totals over $1,000 in Edit Application.
The "Next" button at the bottom of the request now reads "Continue to Financial Eligibility/Submit".
The per-item landlord/repair shop/vendor name and address and the "Invoice / Estimate Attached?" questions were removed. That information is now collected on the payment step.
The Agency Information section matches the updated form.
The Unsuppressed view can be downloaded as a CSV or PDF, for staff with the "View Unsuppressed Impact Report" permission. The files are marked internal only, and each download is recorded in the audit log.
The report no longer includes people assisted by ZIP code, on screen or in the PDF and CSV downloads. ZIP-level counts could help identify individuals and told stakeholders little.
Once a period is approved and published, the Impact Report Preview no longer lists its advisory items. Blocking items are still shown.
Advisory findings on the Impact Report Preview and the Unsuppressed view can be dismissed once read. Show dismissed brings them back, and a finding returns on its own if its details change. Dismissals are remembered in your browser. Blocking findings can't be dismissed.
The application has been updated to the latest Region 5 form. Highlights:
Tasks that haven't been completed are labelled "Active" instead of "Open", so the label is no longer mistaken for the Open button beside it.
The budget separates what is requested from Region 5 from the requesting agency's own contribution.
Each budget line records the number of units it covers.
"Amount requested" is now only the amount requested from Region 5. The agency's contribution is no longer counted in it.
"+ Add Additional Director" lets an applicant list a second Organization Director / CEO.
Extension fields for the Director / CEO, Fiscal Officer and Project Contact.
The county list includes "Other", with a box to type the county name. The list is now in alphabetical order.
An activity can have more than one target population.
An abatement strategy, with its activities and goals, can be removed in one step. A strategy whose activities are linked to budget items can't be removed until those items are reassigned or deleted.
A goal's data collection frequency can be set to a custom time interval, for example every 15 days.
For percentage goals, the baseline is optional and the target shows a % sign.
Activities and goals each have their own Collapse / Expand button, so several can stay open at once.
"Housing assistance, placement, or stabilization" is available as an activity type, and county names are capitalized correctly in goal statements.
The application PDF and the application details screen show the new fields, and the budget grouped by who funds each line.
Some users were signed out again right after logging in, returning to the login screen just after the Dashboard appeared. That no longer happens.
Two new actions on every approved application.
Record an authorized increase or decrease to an approved award, with the effective date, who authorized it, the reason, and supporting documents. The consumer's 12-month funding cap now follows the current (adjusted) award.
Set up a payment schedule, create additional check requests as needs come up, revise a request with a full revision history, and attach supporting documents to each request.
Each application shows where its award stands:
Every check request now follows the same path. A finalized request shows the status Check Request Submitted, the same as the original.
When a check request is finalized, the preparer gets a Dashboard task and a notification. The request's page offers Generate Download and Mark Reviewed & Clear Task.
Generate Download produces one PDF: the check request, the agency section of the application, and the documents attached to that request.
If you generate a download before both signatures are in place, you'll be warned and can choose to continue or cancel.
At the fiscal department's request, the packet includes only the agency section of the application, and "Purpose of Request" shows the funded item.
When an application is submitted, a new consumer, agency (submitter) and payee record is created automatically if nothing in the system could be a match.
The staff lists for choosing a reviewer or supervisor now show the same people everywhere they appear.
After submitting, applicants can print a copy from the confirmation screen, in the same browser they submitted from.
Agency Mailing Address, Agency Contact and Agency Phone (10 digits) are now required.
Every State field is now a dropdown that shows, for example, NE - Nebraska.
Each field is limited to what the system can store, and any problem is clearly explained. Before, a long entry (such as a state typed out in full) could keep the application from being saved.
If a submission doesn't go through, the applicant now sees an error and their entries stay on the screen, instead of a confirmation with a blank reference number.
Opening a sign-off request and closing it without signing no longer removes it from your Inbox.
Check request notices and tasks now show the consumer's name and the amount, for example …CR-002 (Jane Doe) $99.00.
Finalizing or cancelling a check request asks for confirmation in a clearer pop-up.
People in groups too small to publish, or who didn't answer, now appear as one grey slice, so the other slices keep their true proportions.
The State field is now an NE - Nebraska style dropdown and defaults to NE.
Fields are limited to what the system can store. If a draft can't be saved, the message now says which field needs shortening.
Some users had to clear their browser cookies before they could log in. That no longer happens.
A signed-in session now stays connected to the organization you signed in to.
When something goes wrong, you'll see a clear message instead of a blank page.
The starting point for version numbers: everything released up to and including September 15, 2026.
